Dr. Anjuna Dhir

Anjuna is at the forefront of driving thought leadership, knowledge creation, advocacy and industry mobilization on the sustainable tourism agenda in India. In her leadership role at Responsible Tourism Society of India (RTSOI), she drives partnerships with Government of India in creating sustainable tourism standards, gaining industry acceptance and building capacity in both public and private sectors on this critical theme.

Anjuna has worked at micro-scales as well, mobilising youth from communities and enabling women craftsmen in their integration with the tourism economy. Her qualifications and experience in the tourism sector is complemented by her work across related sectors, viz. Travel and Trade Events; creative industries of Retail, Fashion, Arts and Crafts; communications industry covering Broadcasting and Advertising; and Academia and teaching. .

Apart from passionately pursuing sustainability, Anjuna is fond of exploring rivers and is fascinated by temple architecture.
