Anirudh Chaoiji

Anirudh, a naturalist who describes himself as ‘nomad-for-life’, made his passion for nature, wildlife and adventure his calling as he dives deep into enabling and building capacities of forest-based communities in sustainable tourism opportunities.

An Advisor to Forest Departments in multiple states, he combines adventure, wildlife and nature observation and research, conservation, rural idyllic lifestyle and sustainable hospitality, as he curates trails, forest walks and guides city-dwellers appreciate the miracles of nature.

Anirudh is also the Founder of the successful wildlife and adventure camping organisation – Pugmarks. As an active member on the Committee / Boards of leading national and international networks organisations – he works on challenges, issues and solutions for protected areas, remote communities, eco-tourism and adventure tour operations.

Based near Tadoba Reserve near Nagpur, Anirudh spends his free time, imitating bird calls and demystifying wilderness throgh his weekly columns.
